Choosing Wild Destination Weddings In South Africa

More couples are swapping traditional nuptials in their hometowns for exotic weddings in far-flung destinations all over the world.

South Africa is fast becoming a favourite for destination weddings thanks to its breathtaking natural landscapes, warm climate and selection of unique locations for ceremonies.

Justin and Tamia Gallego from Sydney in Australia recently returned from a friend's wedding abroad in the Northern KwaZulu Natal games reserves in South Africa.

"Rob and Sian's wedding was the most stunning and exotic wedding we've ever attended. It's not every day you're in a game reserve park surrounded by wild animals, witnessing two friends exchange vows, with elephants in the background and traditional Zulu singers and dancers performing. It was a surreal moment for both of us, it was just like a movie," explained Justin.

He added: "Having the option to be married in a game reserve makes South Africa the most amazing destination wedding for friends and family to attend. It's impossible to refuse such an invitation!"

South Africa is a fantastic destination for romantic weddings abroad and couples can choose nuptials against the backdrop of Table Mountain in Cape Town or wild Africa weddings in the heart of a nature reserve surrounded by stunning scenery and some of the world's most magnificent animals including giraffes, elephants, tigers and wildebeest.

As well as being a hotspot for destination weddings, South Africa is one of the favourite locations for honeymoons. Newlyweds can relax on beautiful sandy beaches, go hiking through national parks, climb mountainous peaks, enjoy wine tasting tours in vineyards, or go on a breathtaking African safarsi where they can catch sightings of the Big Five - lions, elephants, cape buffalos, leopards and rhinos.

There are many luxurious hotels and resorts in wedding destinations across South Africa that offer customised wedding packages for brides and grooms and couples' wedding guests will be able to stay on and enjoy the adventures after the big day.
